You are correct. I briefly worked at a "same-day" Denture clinic. Pts come in, get alginates and a mush wax bite registration. I would set the teeth, pass to someone else to wax up. We used colloid flasking and pourable denture resin. 30 min. cure and ready to finish. Delivery by 2 pm.

We recently had one of our mills go down and were in a crunch. We sent our scans to Argen to have them milled and sintered, so when we got them we only had to check the fit and glaze. $25 each...slightly more than what we could've done them for if our mill had been working.
I wouldn't think so. The monotrac was so simple and clean, but in the end, that was the only variable. I talked with the inventor/owner of monotrac several times and we followed the directions religiously, but I guess there was still movement somewhere. (Curiously, the contacts would be great...
We had also tried the monotrac system....saved a lot of time in the plaster room, but then we started getting the complaints about the contacts.
We have always checked our contacts on a separate solid model, so we assumed that it was the usual...poor temps.
But the complaints kept increasing and...
This was done at the .50 mic....I would've expected a little sharper detail. They say they can print in .25 mic...that might be better for dies and use the .50 for full arch removable models.
The big thing is the price. We paid 10 times the cost of this printer for one that can only print...
Yeah, we talked with them and they asked us to send them an STL file to print; we'll see what it looks like.
They also said that they have a software update coming out that will cut the print time by 50%. (and the checks in the mail, etc o_O)
We are looking at purchasing a couple 3D printers and another owner sent me info on the Formlabs 2 printer.
It has a print platform large enough for full arch models and has open software. Its priced at $3500, but I'd like to know if anyone has had any experience with it?
We are currently using...
We allow 1 reset at no charge then charge $25 for each subsequent reset. I also try to educate them on "how" to record centric relation and VDO. There are some excellent youtube videos out there.
