Hello,
Just picked up a new account. Taking ideas and tips to show my appreciation for giving me a opportunity to work with her.
What do you guys think?
How do you say Thank You a new account?

Thank you, Todd

Make the work you deliver reflect your appreciation of the opportunity. That will say more than anything at this point IMO, or at anytime for that matter.

I might kick them a favour down the road that I might not otherwise volunteer if they happen to need one, expediting something that I don't strictly have to, that kind of thing- but beyond that, just do good work that justifies their trust in you.
An actual 'gift' wouldn't do much for me if the situation were reversed, might even reflect poorly if it's done cynically enough- I'm not giving someone work because they bring a box of chocolates to the lab around valentine's day or w/e, I do it because of their work and their reliability.

I consider new accounts on probation. Maybe after 6 months I bring them muffins.

We go for beers, every Friday after work...

sorry Davesgone were just taking the piss, seriously, just do good work and I will always check in with a new account after 3 or 4 cases and ask if they are happy with everything, would they like anything done differenly ie, tighter /lighter contacts, firmer/looser bite, more less spacer that sort of thing.
Just show you re not taking them for granted and you are not a cookie cutter lab , show a bit of interest. That is all the appreciation they need or deserve

That's what I was thinking, give it at least a couple of months before I'd do anything.

There are so many that will send for a couple months and move on. I dont take it personally anymore, its just how they do business I guess. I had a client from 20 years ago call me out of the blue and start sending work, lasted for about 3-4 months, then nothing at all.. He didnt have a problem with the work, in fact some very difficult cases went first time and he said he was happy. I havent contacted him, I think theres only so much you can do, and flighty accounts dont help me sleep at night.

Ok.. a bit ironic, I just got 3 implant crowns in the mail from the aforementioned Dr that hasnt sent anything in 2 months..
Probably went to try other lab, not happy with them or the other way round ;)

Make the crown look beautiful, deliver in time, communicate with issue or things rapidly. Thats all you need to do. And that is all what they want. And less remake…QUALITY
