Received a case from the dentist couple of weeks ago. The patient had an old cast partial with an attachment she lost and wants a new one made. Anyone know anything about this attachment? What is its name? Can you still get the male attachment? Thanks for any input.

How hard is Clearsplint? I use to make Impak splints for a lab I worked at and most of the dentist didn't like them because they said they were too soft and caused the patient to clench even harder. Are they hard/flexible or soft/flexible?

I've seen this happen with moisture contamination. The tech wasn't completely drying out the mixing jars and was mixing the acrylic with a few drops of water in the jar. When the denture was finished processing there was thin white lines in the acylic.

It's actually comfort first than function than esthetics. It doesn't matter how well it functions if the patient can't wear it.

He probably owes every other lab in your city as well. What I can't understand is that without lab techs they have no one to make their prosthetics and appliances yet the lab tech is the first person they try to screw over.

Thanks, I'm presently getting my ortho supplies from OSE and the shipping is outrageous. I usually deal with Nowak, they are only 45 minutes up the road from me :).

Where do you guys get your ortho supplies from such as retainer wire, ball clasp, expansion screws? The company I'm dealing with now charges ludicrous shipping fees and I'd like to find new supplier.
