Let me know if there is any interest in selling your P30. Serious inquiry lol. I like the printer, but then again, I am only using it for guides. Using other printers for everything else.
Contraluz,
Thanks for your response. I will make sure to lower my heating and cooling rates. I am able to dial in the parameters on my furnace. How do you like the diamond stones from Jota? Also what do you mean by 'regeneration' firing?
The Sirona inFire Speed oven opens first around 900 degrees Celsius. It opens just a crack and slowly opens very little as the temp decreases.
The Sintra stays closed completely until about 400 degrees Celsius until it starts to open and come down.
When you talk about the heat and cool rate...
This specific porcelain furnace we are using does not use a clamshell opening mechanism. I do think it might be too rapid a cooling rate or uneven cooling, I just need to figure out how I can isolate that as the problem. The issue is that there is no visible sign showing the integrity of the...
First off, I want to start by saying how appreciative I am for the regular posters on this forum. I have for a long time been just a lurker, but have learned so much from the information you guys continue to provide online. I should definitely help and post more often. I just wanted to start off...
Good for Bob, and Rob. Came here to see if they posted any news about it. Hope the quality of their service doesn't change. Should be interesting to see how big CAP can grow with a partner with resources as Schein.
Hello All,
I was curious if anyone was using any software to manage their inventory or consumables. With the CAD/CAM business picking up, we wanna keep proper track of our zirconia pucks, stains, milling burs, etc. Preferrably this system will have barcode support. I am googling now but cant...
We use TD's wax pucks. They are inexpensive and do the job well. I dont believe that have a D-Shape though. Ron @rc75 TD Dental would be the guy to speak with!
You could, but too walk them through it becomes a mission sometimes. Often I deal with dentists that dont know, or want to deal with it. Most of the time they hand it off to their assistant. The longest part of any support call I do is walking people through installing teamviewer smh Banghead
Okay. Maybe your computer has a different path to it than mine. The problem is the ProgramData folder is a hidden folder. So try if "C:\ProgramData\" works without the quotes. If it does, then open up the folders in the following order 3shape > Dental System > 3ShapeCommunicate > Incoming >...
Open up Windows Explorer and copy and paste the following into the address bar (without the quotations): "C:\ProgramData\3Shape\DentalSystem\3ShapeCommunicate\Incoming\processing"
If there are any .3OXZ files in that folder, sort it by creation date and import them into 3shape. When you import...
Get an envisiontec MicroDGP (to print your guides) and purchase a refurb DWX-50, or new DWX-51d. If you go with the refurb, you may end up getting the better deal because you will still need to purchase CAM software. You will have much less of a headache printing guides. You are restricted to...
Have you looked into a Roland DWX51D? They are roughly $25K USD. Since the release, you may even be able to find yourself some steals on some Refurbished DWX-50's and get milling for under $15K USD. Please keep in mind that when milling zirconia, you will need to factor in the cost of a...
If you want monochromatic then Vivid by CADBLU wasnt too bad. We used it for our high translucency cases before CubeX and the likes came out. The vivid has a 720 mpa flexural strength if I recall correctly.
Are you looking for layered shading (color gradient from cervical to incisal),or just monochromatic shading? If layered see the small list below. We use them with great results.
CAP Multi Layered
Katana Multi Layered
My assumption is that many companies purchase their Zirconia from bulk...
Try increasing the potency of your Sodium Hydroxide bath as well as the amount of time you let the models sit. This will help dissolve more of the support material. Just remember to pressure-wash the models again once removing them from bath. It might also help if your using an ultrasonic bath...
If I recall correctly, when importing scans you have the option to "mark scan as unprepared." I think that gives you a little bit more flexibility in regards to trimming and sculpting.
