I read thru the details John and didn't see where it said anything about it, but thought you had to in the past.

I had the chance to go to a hands on class that Arian Deutsch was teaching this year and he had his last years winning dentures there. Wow talk about a reality check on my abilities...

Thanks for your question. No, you do not have to purchase the Candulor Articulator, you can use any semi-adjustable articulator.

how long will entrants be without their own articulator? weeks/months? and will it be insured?

The deadline to have the finished case with articulator in our Amherst, NY office is January 10, 2014. All finished cases will be judged, and professionally photographed, and then shipped to Chicago to be displayed during Lab Day at the Candulor "Art of Denture" gallery on February 21-22. We will then return the cases and articulators to the participants once they are back in our office after the Chicago show. All cases will be insured with UPS during transit.

sure does, was thinking how it may be easy for someone to eagerly send off their prized posession, only to miss it terribly for a couple of months. ( not everyone has the pleasure of owning multiple articulators, and previous entrants purchased one specially for this) Great work by Candulor by the way, always a pleasure to see the exhibits and chat with staff

Particpants do have a beautiful demo model professional photographed to use to marketing their lab afterwards.
