Draw a circle about 1mm from the base of your custom Ti abutment on the tissue side. With Ti Base, everything else is Zr hence control of emergence in Zr. No need to have 5-10mm in Ti abutment that you can't ever add to if required due to unforeseen circumstances. Have been on both sides previously but end up at best results. I lean to Ti Base and Zr tissue adherence for sure. There is also Zero extra strength in a custom Ti abutment, even if it appears much larger, the weakest link is at the interface with the implant. Ti bases are identical in that area.
