What are the advantages of emax cad versus pressing a crown?

Labor savings, over pressing but worse marginal adaption when milled. At least with what I have seen.
Next month EMAX goes live with one of my scanners so I will be first in line to see the results.

When you get enough Digital Impressions, you will wish you own a BIG FAST mill or Rapid Prototype machine. The scanning is already done, just design and manufacture.
I see the Doc's assistant finishing the CAD design soon and we just manufacture and spit-shine. It's a product to sell to a new market (CAD software to Doc office). It will happen. The design will be more automated in the software making it super easy for almost anyone.
