Detect a bad margin lines with exocad

Iam an exocad beginner, i designed some songle anatomical crowns sucessfully ( well prepared with good margin line),i tried to get some hard cases to train more but i can not detect the margin line like this case

My question
Is there a trick or a tool to detect margin line in cases that has bad margin lines?

You can toggle from colour to monochrome to read the margin…. Oh wait that’s 3 Shape. Never mind good luck (snort)

Correct/Draw > Draw > Magnetic or Free.

I prefer free drawing the margin. If you go to tools you can adjust the lighting to see it better. It's tough on (bad) intraoral scans.

Color doesn't help if the scan data is bad.
It's just color on top of a inaccurate scan. Move the points up or down it's still the same.

I find looking from the underside of the prep to be helpful sometimes.

I usually mark the margin as you did then Email it to the Dr,
making sure all good, so he/she will see the beautiful work he/she did.

In ExoCAD, use PLY file format for color texture. Either get the office to send you ply or convert them within 3Shape Dental Manager
