Wax up

Amazing-- do you have a favourite type of wax for this, and does it scan well (if you need/ want to scan it?)
I use this grey wax from renfert IMG_20230518_181802.jpg
I like it because it has nice color, opaque, so you can see all the texture and morphology characteristics. It works really well for my hand too.

I've scanned a lot of wax ups made from this one. It's pretty good, textures are also visible in scanning. But, depends on your scanner accuracy too, if you have hd mode etc.

Very nice. What kind of wax machine do you use? In the market for a new one.

I bought a cheap one from AliExpress , under 50€, because I use it only in my home for practice. It's super for it's task.

If I wanted something more professional I would pick something like the renfert waxlectric II. It's quality is super.

Here is another one i made half a year ago i think. I wax it so i can scan it and create a more natural teeth library on exocad, with nice shapes and texture.
Sry for the bad quality photos and the dirty wax up, email droped the size. In my camera it looks better.

Thats the morphology i practise on lately, more natural shapes, smooth but complex volumes and according only to natural teeth i observe a lot.
Im working into something big now, based on digital, so i can create natural looking libraries but with detailed textures, in many shapes. I will post a thread soon to show you about it.
