He means waxup. Specifically mimicking the emergence profile of the tooth from the gingiva. Look at how that looks in nature. For instance how fingernails emerge and how the tissue is profiled.
Some of your carving is angular from the way the tool carved out the wax.

This one will be new appliances over pre-existing Hader on the lower. Model has pattern resin bar, clips are in the LC baseplate.

I have been using Massad's method of external impressions to finish off buccal and labial surfaces..using a silicone impression material with a bit of a longer set.....The feedback has been very comfortable by the patient.

Were I a Denturist, that would be my foundational method. I've done a few live patient classes with Massad's group. The outcome is very satisfying.
