Bumping this to say that we're trying to find an application for waste zirconia puck as well. Wonder if you could crush the waste back to a powder, mix it with a binder/press it into a form with a press, and successfully sinter it...

Too complex with the regulatory environment

Unless you want to register with the FDA as a manufacturer of Zirconia discs/blocks (for use in the US market of course).

To form what shade? Unless it was all white zirconia discs, powder. As well as what Foggy mentioned.

Oh, not to make milling blanks or appliances, nothing serious like that, just functional lab things where the shade doesn't matter and the dimensional accuracy of the part isn't critical. Even just pelletizing it for soaking up furnace contaminants, like someone suggested using whole scrap for.

It already has binder and you'd need to invest some serious $$$ into hardware to press it into a usable puck again

Years ago when Glidewell had their recycling program I asked them what they do with it. I jokingly said you make new discs with it and they said they sell it to a company that reformulates the zirconia to make knife blades.
