Yes, but not to the extent that acid-based coloring liquids do. Even pre-colored materials will affect the heating elements.
I would recommend cleaning/purging sintering furnaces at least monthly, and possibly more often depending on how many units you are processing. if constantly processing full trays (at least one cycle or more daily) you probably want to clean/purge every two weeks. If not filling the tray and only running one cycle a day (or a couple cycles a day with only a couple crowns each cycle) then you should be able to do it monthly.
