Ejada, this is for basal side of pontics and/or dentures. It is useful for some projects outside of normal workflow.
If you have used the waxup scan in exo with just a model, when you get to the free form stage there is a lot of work to do. A scan of both top and bottom of the wax up saves time and give better results.
Hello Ejada, Sometimes, using our hands is more effective than controlling a mouse in the software. I think this case is a good example. The pontic base area and/or bottom side of interproximal area are not easy to design well in CAD.
