I received this from a doctor of ours, any help would be appreciated:
Dr. Michael Murphy, recently deceased, did the implant body. His records are not at all helpful in what exactly he placed there. It is time for a new crown and I can not figure out what the attachment is. It is a screw retained porcelain to metal crown.
The problem is that instead of a recess in the implant body, there is a raised hexagonal platform that fits into the recessed crown---all backwards to the usual.
I have tried to get information about any kind of hexagonal attachment that might have been used, but no one knows (or is willing to research) this situation.
I have enclosed some pictures of the crown and the implant body/attachment that better illustrates this situation. Any ideas, knowledge, that you can throw m y way would be greatly appreciated.
