We always lost the suction cups and put the ends in a pencil sharpener.

Brother in law thought it would be entertaining to his kids to stick one on his forehead. He left it to long and had a nice round hicky that he had to go to work with until it went away.
If you have never see a guy in a suit with a big round hicky in the middle of his forehead........Its a hoot!
