My unit is only a year old and probably has less than 100-200 scans on it... Anyone on here currently shopping for these? Anyone looking at eBay prices, mind sharing what they are seeing them coming and going for?

Dont sell on ebay. Sellers have no rights, and ebay has access to your bank account to take money out for any reason. You would be better off on dentaltown

If you go to ebay, search for your item, then click on sold/completed items on the left and you will get an idea of the selling price. Keep in mind, ebay will take almost 14%

Why Medit? The Medit scans are inferior IMHO. I've daily access to Medit, iTero and PrimeScan. Both iTero and Primescan are superior. I can request a immediate new scan so it's not a single bad scan- it's the equipment. And it isn't the person scanning, since each is used by all the same people (certainly some with more skill and some with less).

I had the opposite experience. Tried a few, had a long term tryout with the trios 3. I had tried several and I found the i700 (not i500) Medit scans to be better than most, that is looking at the actual mesh produced not the fancy "post-processed" stuff, so that's what I purchased.

I haven't looked at the imports under exocad, but my lab guy likes the medit scans... this is the first I've heard of lab folks not liking medit scans.

The i900, on paper, should be much better than the i700 since it uses 10bit sensors which should help a lot with deep sulcus and metal areas that got shaded out our were too reflective with the 8bit sensors (kind of "under exposed" and "over exposed" areas in camera terms).

Who knows yet if lab software is going to be able to do useful things with the extra data, so you have to say "on paper"
