We are doing a wax up on a case for the 6 anteriors, Dr is asking for a surgical stent for gingiva, and a second stent with same gingival profile but 3mm more gingival than margin.

Im unclear what hes asking for. The only stents we have done here are for implants... Is he wanting a reduction guide for the preps? Why a second 3mm longer? Anyone help a guy out?

Thanks!

The 6 anteriors are implant borne or natural teeth?

Been my experience that if it's unclear, then it wasn't properly explained on the Rx

Yes, I'd bet money for crown lenghtening, but I'd fire up the phone and just touch base to make sure where the Doc is going with that request.
