Hello All!

I represent a UK firm that is looking to launch two great products here in the U.S. These products are already widely used and quite popular in Europe and Asia. Both products have extensive clinical testing and are currently used widely by dentists in Europe, Asia, and Australia. The first product, Aproxi, eliminates potential errors in restoring interproximal contacts in class II and/or inlay composite restorations and is already FDA approved (CE approved in Europe). The second product, QuiteNite, is a non-surgical cure for snoring and is in final stages of FDA approval (already CE approved in Europe).

We are currently in negotiations with Trident Labs but prefer to work with private labs if possible. We want to support private labs because that's how we got our start and we know how hard it can be competing with the corporate labs.

In Europe and Asia, we provide these products to dental labs who then provide them to their dentists. It's a win/win situation. The labs we currently work with love it as the products sell themselves once the dentists try them, can significantly boost revenue for the labs with no additional equipment necessary, and makes the labs more appealing to dentists thus again increasing the number of all types of cases the labs wins from from their respective network of dentists.

I've included links to the websites for both products. Please have a look at the sites and respond if you may interested. If we get enough interest, we will be able to help support privately owned labs instead of the large corporate labs (e.g. Trident).

I think you'll find that these are both great products. They will both be launched here in the US very soon. Please respond with interest/questions at your earliest convenience as we must move forward rather quickly.

Aproxi: Aproxi® | The Latest Inlay Technology
The Aproxi® system makes it easy and quick to achieve optimal contact surface to the adjacent tooth. The Aproxi® system consists of prefabricated composite inlays and a specially developed insertion instrument. The Aproxi® inlays are fabricated in three different sizes that fit the individual tooth preparation best. The Aproxi® system is used to obtain optimal contact surface to the adjacent tooth for composite restorations in molars and premolars.

The Aproxi® inlay is placed on the insertion instrument and is inserted into the uncured composite material. By means of the insertion instrument, the Aproxi® inlay can be pressed against the matrix band adjacent to the next tooth in a controlled and precise manner while it hardens and bonds to the composite restorative material. The specially developed insertion instrument lens conducts the light down into the Aproxi® inlay and ensures optimal polymerisation of the surrounding composite. When the Aproxi® inlay has been polymerised to the composite material, the insertion instrument is removed, and the Aproxi® inlay is left as an integral part of the composite restoration. The restoration is subsequently complete in accordance with the normal procedure.

The pressure is applied by either pulling or pushing the insertion instrument with the attached Aproxi® inlay in the un-polymerised composite against the matrix band/sectional matrix. The pressure that is applied to the adjacent tooth displaces the tooth in the direction of the pressure. Once the restoration has been completed, the tooth will revert back into place and compensate for the thickness of the matrix band when the band is removed. This results in optimal approximal contact surface being achieved.

The Aproxi® inlay distributes the un-polymerised composite optimally in the proximal cavity when it is pressed down into the uncured composite. In order to achieve the best possible approximal contact surface, the Aproxi® inlay has been designed so that it corresponds to the natural anatomical contact surface of the natural tooth.

Quitenite: QuietNITE | Snoring Prevention
It is estimated that more than one third of the population snore while sleeping. Spouses and children are often repeatedly disturbed during their sleep cycles by a snoring family member, which can lead to tensions and animosity. This snoring can also lead to the reducing of quality sleep for the sufferer which in turn can lead to under performance at work and even potential accidents due to tiredness.
What causes snoring?

During sleep, the muscles and soft tissues in the throat and mouth relax making the breathing airway smaller. This decrease in the airway space increases the velocity of air flow through the airway during breathing. As the velocity of required air is increased in the constricted space, soft tissues like the soft palate and the uvula vibrate. These vibrations of the soft tissues in the mouth and throat result in what is called “snoring”. It should also be noted that sleep studies have shown that excess body weight, heavy alcohol consumption and other sedatives have been shown to increase the severity of snoring.

Surgical techniques to remove respiration impairing structures such as uvula, enlarged tonsils and adenoids have been among the many attempted snoring remedies. These soft tissue surgical procedures have shown only moderate success rates. At certain levels of severity, complete blockage of the airway space by the soft tissues and the tongue can occur. If the period of asphyxiation lasts longer than 10 seconds, this is called Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). OSA can be a serious medical condition and your dentist may refer you to a sleep specialist.

For the majority of snorers however, the most affordable, noninvasive, comfortable, and effective snoring solution remains the dentist prescribed oral snoring preventative device, such as the QuiteNITE.

In order to avoid granting exclusive rights to Trident, initially we'll need enough private lab distributors to move a minimum of 200 units/month eventually rising to 400-500 units/month.

The margins are high for the labs and the marketing work has already been done for you. We are prepared to work with private labs in any way we can to support you. We're one of you.

Please feel free to email me with any questions, comments, and or concerns.

Kind Regards,
Shaun Thompson
