does anyone know if there's a way to just make a surgical guide without having to have a ct scan and actually plan implant placement. Trying to make something like the one tooth guides that gp's like so they aren't completely freehanding it.

and yes, I know actually planning the surgery would be preferable.

For something like this, we just do a bite splint with a pontic in exocad and mill it in clear PMMA, just gives the Dr placing the implant a guide to where the restoration will be.

I recently started doing some "essix" retainers where the pontics are milled out of radiopaque PMMA.

The doctor really liked them. I believe he's making a hole in it and then taking an xray.

Mark the ideal location on the cast and do a vacuum formed temp sheet.

thanks everyone but I was looking to design these with implant studio. There doesn't seem to be a way to skip the planning and go to the guide. It would be a simple solution if I could.
