About Guided Surgery Solutions, LLC

Guided Surgery Solutions manufactures and sells a digitally-designed drill guide for dental implant surgery. We recently launched our ThinLayerTM Guide product to meet the needs of implant dentists in the rapidly growing guided surgery market. Position Summary

The Technician will work with the CEO and founder to design and manufacture custom drill guides, and to coach doctors on dental implant planning and cases. As an early-stage company, our success is defined by delivering accurate products and helpful service to our customers. This full-time or part-time position is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to develop cutting-edge digital and hands-on product and service skills in an innovative company with experienced management. The Technician will learn to create custom devices with CAD/CAM and 3D printing, and will be the face of the company to our customers. We are looking for a passionate rock star, regardless of background.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Register new customers and train them on protocols and virtual 3D implant planning
• Evaluate and log inbound orders and track orders through the manufacturing process
• Communicate with customers (dentists) via e-mail and phone regarding each case
• Design surgical guides, using virtual implant planning and CAD/CAM programs
• Fabricate surgical guides with 3D printing and traditional hands-on lab techniques
• Follow quality standard product design and manufacturing protocols, identifying and troubleshooting exceptions as they arise; update quality system, as needed
• Quality control all products, and raise any unique circumstances to management
• Notify company management of any customer issues and opportunities for them to be involved in strategizing, closing, or retaining customers
• Participate in prospect and customer education and training events
• Identify opportunities for organizational process and communication improvement
• Train and manage future hires, as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years as a dental lab technician or dental hygienist
• Experienced with hands-on dental lab/fabrication techniques and tools
• Interested in 3D dental applications, with CAD/CAM experience preferred
• Enjoys interacting with doctors, with direct customer service experience preferred
• Highly recommended by doctors with whom they have worked
• Professional oral and written/e-mail communication skills
• Appreciates the benefits of accurately tracking customer/patient data (electronically)
• Reliably meets deadlines, with high quality work
• Quickly learns and adapts to new topics
• Craves feedback to improve
• Detail-oriented and precise; develops and implements quality controls
• Enthusiastic self-starter who can work well in teams or independently
• Comfortable in a start-up, hands-on environment where flexibility is the norm
• Very comfortable with computers, and proficient in MS Windows and MS Office
