I heard that Ivoclar abandoned the idea of 98mm Lithium Disilicate disks because they couldn't produce one with enough homogeneous consistency in strength and shade accuracy.

I'd still be SUPER interested in trying one of those out though:D

its not really power that you need for emax.

its just speed, dont even need much torque. the process is grinding, so the spindle is a glorified handpiece.

you need good diamonds, which are not easy and mostly custom made. this is why i would absolutely love to see someone plunge into this big ass puck. that will kill your tool.

Exactly! That initial plunge cut would turn into a tool crash.

You ever smelled burned diamond before? Not pleasant.

I'd imagine it would need to be milled in a machine with a 'C'-style clamp and grinded down using the side of the tools.
