I'm using Millbox for nesting and V-Panel to run my Roland DWX-52D. We're changing some things up at the lab and I'd like to move the computer with Millbox and V-Panel to another location. The mill is currently connected to the computer using the OEM USB cable supplied by Roland. Our new set-up would need a USB cable approximately 36 feet long.
Are any of you using long USB cables? Success? Failure? Specs? What kind of problems should I look for?

Connect your mill to a cheap laptop or windows pad and control your mill with that. This way you can use original cable. You can connect laptop/pad trough network to your calculating computer and get the files from there to mill.

Not sure you can find a usb cable that long, but then again, you probably can but anything over 5ft. you will start to have packet loss. That my friend is no bueno homie, as tehnik stated get yourself a laptop, problem solved.
