Hello all.
Here's my latest experiment using NiTi springs.
It's a traditional removable RPE made with thermoforming plastic sheet but with added clear labial bow.
The secret to making a clear labial bow that will be durable and elastic is to use remaining part of plastic thermo-sheet that covered frontal teeth. Retention part of wire is placed on sheet and covered with clear acrylic.

Hi Teofil,

I've tried making a vacumm-formed version with the palatal ni-ti spring section and a thermoformed plastic 'bow'

But i had trouble with acrylic leaking under the vacuum formed anterior section....any tips on how to stop this? Any ideas on the best way to 'block out' these areas to stop acrylic leaking underneath?

Cheers, Nigel

Hello Nigel.
Try cuting anterior part of sheet a bit wider and then pour acrylic.
You can use hot glue or wax to block it from pouring under.

Thanks Teofil,

I'll give that a go!

(I'll try not to damage the nice translucency of the vac material)

Nigel :)
