Is it possible to download 3shape software and design in an area that is away from the scanner? For example, scans are completed at the dental lab then designer completes cases in another facility.

The designer in another facility will need a high end machine to run the design software.Sorry if it seems obvious, but it's not to everyone when you have anything unusual.

It's caused a few headaches.

It can be done if you don't need dongle on primarly computer....buy a USB server like Silex, and create VPN...then you can use your dongle remotely, install local 3Shape and you can design it without physical dongle in second computer but like said, one computer usage per time otherwise you need extra design seat. But you can set up with Silex to remotely disconnect dongle on first one so you can connect to it on second one...
