Has anyone refired a zirconium bridge that has been inserted for a while ? In this case about 6 months. I'm having to adjust a bridge that was made by another lab and looks like I will have to glaze. Anyone try this ??

In the old days for pfm's, we used to leave it in denatured alcohol for a couple hours, if not longer, to help dry it out, pull the moisture out.
I'm not sure if it works the same for FCZ?

thumbnail_20210312_151316.jpgLeave the bridge overnight in this and then in a furnace or even a toaster oven at 100c degrees for an hour or so to dry. Then porcelain furnace at bake cycle temp to burn all the crap out. Then you are good to go to add porcelain or glaze.

Ok I fired the case. In furnace SLOWLY up to 200 c hold for 15min. then up to 300c for 1/2 hour. After cooling polished off organic material off the bridge. Fired glaze as usual with a 15 min predry. Came out just fine. Thanks for the replys. You guys are the best !!
