Here’s the challenge. Patient desires max metal RPD. Long story short. Case design is palatial strap replacing #11- 14. The rest of max teeth are present, embrasure clasp, clasping #3-4.
Patient gagging etc...... can’t seem to tolerate RPD.
HELP!!! What can I do to the RPD to make it tolerable for the patient?

If the strap is wide, you may be able to narrow it some. Otherwise you may have to remake it with a horseshoe so there isn't anything going across the palate.

Palatal strap is your problem, I stoped using them a long long time ago. No need for them . Material is strong enough that horseshoe is the ultimate design now. Why ask for trouble.

Sometimes it is just the thickness of the acrylic transition/external finish line - if it can be thinned down
and the transition seamless, high polished, that may solve the problem. You have any photos?
