Im not being hostile, and I dont intend this as offensive, but...
We often give thanks to God for our success, and we should. God gives us the ability to succeed or fail, but the results are ours to obtain. I dont believe God picks winners and losers. There are many who have unfortunate circumstance in life, and not always of their making. Bad things happen to good people, and oddly, sometimes undesirable people seem to have it easy.
Im glad youre doing well JMN. When things turn down for what ever reason, its not because youve lost favor with God.
Sh!t happens.
You know I pray for you and the one you share your life with.
I had an interesting discussion with a neighbor a few evenings ago. Hes a Christian as am I, but I explained my views on many 'church teachings' were different from what most believe.
He spoke of 'hearing Gods voice' in his head, prompting him to act on certain things. I questioned that. My conscience guides me. What about when I am battling temptation? The voices often sound quite similar. My point was, dont use God as the cause of your situation. He wants you to do well, but we also know he has allowed us to be tried. I believe its all about the lessons we'll learn.
Enough of me.
Congrats Joseph.
