Occlusal Wax Pattern for Press

I've never used them before. Could someone point me in the right direction if I wanted to try them out? What company and maybe give me an idea on how you do it ? Thanks.

Glidewell has them, Bredent has them, Jensen has Russ' Biofit occlusal molds. I use them.

you'll need the thinnest tray material you can find .3-.5mm. Vac former with pellets helps


What I did was:

I duplicated an upper and lower arch from a pt who had good teeth or took my own impress
Use a high sp and a scribe to enhance the anatomy
section each tooth and grind so it looks like a die
bury dies in the pellets (like in a ministar) so you get as much of the coronal portion you want
suck down
cut them out and leave a tab handle on them like other molds do.

Its a little bit of work prepping the model but you only have to do it once. It works well for me and its my own tooth morphology design.

if you dont have the pellets on for vac former I'd just grind the dies base way way down. Good luck!

Hand waxers consider cad designed crowns to be inferior to pouring melted wax into a mold?
