I like the idea... So what are you using for the indexing jig to record the position of the implant? Do you still need an analog? Do you use a temp abutment? Just wondering how you make an accurate indirect provisional (in this case composite) without going thru the whole process of taking an impression with coping/analog..

Just because we index on the day of surgery does not mean that
we have to immediately load. Most of my provisionals go in 8 weeks
after placement. We order a new impression post and analog for
each implant we index. You obviously know the process seeing
to follow up thread. In certain situation, you may need temporary
abutment instead to index and can use it for the provisional itself
because the impression post might be too wide for the space.
If you think and angled abutment is needed, you can certainly
order an angled abutment before the surgery and make an abutment
level transfer and still have a provisional that is screw retained.
However, the soft tiss height might change and need a new angled
abutment after that. Just depends on inventory and how much
money you are willing to spend on the ideal result . . .
