I have a nephew who showed me his night guard and it was quite thick and soft....much softer than the classical proform guard material. I have tried a proform for him to try and he cannot tolerate it. So I am looking for a material that is rugged and yet soft. His is about ten years old and I cannot identify the material....Any suggestions?

I have purchased the soft eva 5mm thick and will see if that will do him. but just wondering if any suggestions out there. I did peruse the suppliers with little luck and also asked Robert Kreyner who did a 4 hour seminar for us there but no luckl.

We use a product called "Elastomer", it's not a vacuform product, we wax up a night guard and then process it similar to a hard acrylic Ivo night guard, but this material is soft and flexible

Likely what I am looking for. Thanks so much. I will see if we can process in ivobase or just invest in normal flask.
Does the ivobase have a setting to process for 45 minutes? We use the ivocap and we just leave it in bath for 10 extra minutes.

wondering if I can just flask it in a normal flask... if so then I can just order the monomer and polymer seprately. Thanks for the info. I believe the ivobase can do it and will pick Ivoclars brains when I get my BPS certification in October.

It comes as a kit.

Erkoflex 95 by Erkodent…. Its a EVA with 95 shore hardness. perfect for this situation. I work alongside a few Oral Med Specialists and we routinely use this material for kids. works a treat!

We use Impak for most of our nightguards. You can control the softness by varying the ratio of powder to liquid. We use a 3 to 1 powder to liquid ratio, our guards are hard in the mouth but flexible to insert and remove
