New CAM software for 5axis milling machine...

Hi Guys!

I'm owner VHF 5-S1 and milling everything material with CoCr. I would like to change my CAM software because i can't change milling parameters.

Which one will be best choice for my VHF? What is the price for eventually different CAM and how could be better with milling results.

Sum3D is awful stay away from it, if I had the choice I would go with Picasoft or Dental Softworks.

I use SUM and can do almost everything it's possible to mill. I'm very happy with it, and don't agree with the opinion that it's awful.
Joachim, you say you are milling CoCr with the VHF. Can you share with us your wiew? Have you had any problem? Speed? Accuracy?
I'm surprised that many owners of VHF are doing it.

I mill CoCr but great results i've got only with CoCr recommended with VHF. It's NEM with WAK 14,1 285HV and sold by some firms - it's not cheap.

It' the main reason why i would like to inwest in new open 5axis CAM.

Fitting is perfect, accuracy of milling machine is 3um... i think that it;s very good quality system. I'll make some photos and show here.

Maybe first ask the cam company if they have options for you its a small cheap version of their cam if not maybe other options (XXXXXXX) but to handle cam without knowledge is horror if everything is editable . their are some versions like ds you cant make lots wrong 6.5 Euro pica has a template generator for that like delcam or hyperdent sum is free editable so you better know what you do . I personal have sum but if you have it the first year support is inkl. they help you . Most cams have trials 30 days or so.
Run a calibration twice than you know the 3 my are BS. check the datasheet concentric of the spindle not inside at the burr where it mills and the touch of and these are only 2 variables .
one of their engineers told they use conductive because micro switch is about 200-300 micron what a joke
another told me their burs are around 0,2 micron max tolerance if you find tools like that by the whole production

I can change in my CAM rpm and feed. Depth of milling is 0.1mm but i don't know what is cutting width...

Could anybody give me a rpm and feeding parameters for milling CoCr? What's parameters are in Yenadent d15?

It always depends on the mill, the co cr yours is very very soft the used burrs diameter , cutting edges , strategie and so on D 15 has 3 times bigger rails 3 times more spindel power and the servo motors for the axis have the same power as your spindel . depth is x y , cutting witdth is z delivery roughly speaking, the less the smoother in correlation to surface angel and toolpath

Hi Guys.... i ordered Starbond Easy Disc from Scheftner and its great choice!!!!! I just milled 27 points, 2mm tool is using by over 10hours and still is very good condition (by now max 6hours). Look at the pictures and results of milling Starbond Easy
