You asked for more in-person continuing education. What better place to offer this than at the Mid-Winter Meetings? NADL proudly presents a half day of educational courses at LMT Lab Day. Topics range from business planning and professional development to technical education.

The 2019 NADL Winter Daze will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 7:30a.m. - 12:15p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.

2019 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. FDA Regulations Related to Incorporation of Digital Technologies

Speaker: Gary Morgan, CDT, ASQ/CQA - SafeLink Consulting, LLC
Credits: 1 Hour of Documented Regulatory Standards
Course Description: The more dental labs integrate technology into manufacturing, the more important it is to understand the way FDA approaches regulating these activities. This program will focus on regulations which affect implementing CAD/CAM in the lab, the materials, processes, and software used, and 510(k) and registration requirements. The requirements for a compliant quality system will be discussed.

8:45 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Market Trends: 3D Printing, Surgical Guides, and Digital Dentures

10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. 3 Shape Tips and Tricks for the Every Day Designer

Course Description: 3Shape is a more powerful tool for designing dental restorations than most people recognize. There is a myriad of tools within the software that many designers don’t use on a daily basis. These tools were put there to make designing teeth easier, faster and more predictable. This session will showcase a few tools that many of you may not have known existed; perhaps have never used before, or simply have forgotten they were there. The goal is to help you advance the level of designing done with 3Shape in your lab.

11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Exocad-ditive Revolution: Exocad & 3D Printing for the Everyday User

Speaker: Chris Kabot - Core 3D Centres
Credits: 1 Hour of Documented Scientific
Course Description: This introductory course to Exocad and 3D Printing will showcase tips & tricks for how to implement these exciting digital technologies efficiently for any size dental laboratory. Exocad’s open platform partnered with the exciting advancements in additive manufacturing (3D Printing) introduces us to new workflows that improve the bottom-line without sacrificing quality.

There is a discounted rate of $35.00 for NADL Members to attend. This one fee gets you access to all of the courses! Plus, all funds will go to the Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology to help support grant programs for schools, education and certification. The registration deadline is February 16, 2018. This course is limited to 100 attendees.
