Is this normal that firing tray doesn’t go up all the way flush with ceiling panel?

Fuse or heating elements, the elements are in series so if one of them is bad it will break the connection. The spacing in the second photo is pretty normal.

SINTRA PLUS SINTERING FURNACE IS ****ING GARBAGE

I spent so much money replacing parts for this furnace and I gave up fixing it.

Ditto...worth 10K i ever spent. Mine wouldn't heat up either...then I tore it apart and pulled the heat shield sleeve back on the wire running from under the table to the heating elements and found the wire burned into half. I snipped the bad areas and bought a heavy duty connector and got it running again but it's a fire hazard and after a day I went an purchased a couple S1's. Sintra's are Complete garbage!!! P.S. it was three days out of warranty...happened on the 368 day. Wouldn't honor warranty.

We just discovered the same issue this morning with one of our sintering furnaces. Recently replaced everything that has do with heat. Came in to cold furnace. Going to pull it apart and see what I find.

Save yourself the time and grief...call ivoclar and purchase a S2.

Check.Hi current cable ,Fuses at back, some model of Sintra have internal fuse 100A ,later models are BY-passed on the left side behind front control panel,at the last it could be Eurotherm module. This furnace is like time bomb. Its good since first problem starts and after is like chain link all stars failing.Good option is KDF, better Ivoclar ,and best Nobertherm

Giving you time to order a real oven.
Funny, Like and Agree :)

If you can keep it working for awhile, Ivoclar usually runs some great promotions during their fall quarter.
Maybe give your rep a call?
And yes, there are some other nice sintering ovens out there that others would testify to.

I wanted to add here, I was having an issue with my ceramill therm.. It would show the rate rising but not the temp. Be careful not to just throw new elements at it. I ordered new elements and put them in, worked ok a few times, then it was sometimes ok but it sounded like there was a connection problem. Turned out to be the switch on the door. If its telling the oven the door is open it wont heat up. I just eliminated the switch and spliced the wires together and the solenoid kicked right on and starts heating up. Its a high use switch so it makes sense it would wear out eventually. Something to check out if youre having issues.

How do you check which element is bad in your sintering oven if it's not visible ?
It's a Vita Zycromat 110 V. Thanks in advance !
