That would be very nice when it comes to the dr. dressing the contacts of the adjacent teeth for a nice path of insertion and nice broad proximal contacts.

Nobel has the x guide I think its called for placing implants, seemed to become more of a novelty than necessary, although a surgeon in town uses it. I wont be opening my mouth for that thing..

We had a surgeon who got the Yomi. There is a lot of time, evidently, used to set it up for surgery, last I knew it was gathering dust like a treadmill. Easier right now to get a good guide and go to work I expect that robotic surgery will be viable in a few years. Just another reason for technicians to broaden their skill set.

These robots are common place in regular surgery, so I agree its only a matter of time, and I think the precision will be far superior to the nerves of the surgeon.

i might get one i will become a cerec technician and go all in house i will be able to join dentist web groups and ask questions and do it half a55ed and say it was a good effort for a first go. shut up and take my money. where do i get one.?

Unfortunately, it takes 3 people to operate this thing!...at least that is what all the videos I have seen show. Waiting for the robotic staff to come along :) !

Let's not panic. This machine will be flipping burgers, pumping gas, and painting houses long before it drills into patients mouths. So until we see it replacing the simpler jobs, it's not near on the horizon

Who’s panicking?
We can’t wait for Robodoc to take over your jobs. Robots aren’t prone to hissy fits and bouts of narcissism that can’t be solved with a good reboot in the back panel.
