I am restoring 22-27 AND! The Doctor wants me to open the vertical 2mm! Said the patient demanded these done 1st due to their broken down condition and he will than have posteriors done a few months from now. I called account and pitched a fit but...... He asked if I could fabricate a temp posterior appliance to help maintain the vertical. I was wondering if you could mill an splinted occlusion out of temp material that he could cement or bond temporarily to the posterior teeth? Any ideas?

I think you need photos before anyone can tell what contours are available to retain
any unprepared tooth restorations . . .
Maybe I am understanding it wrong.

Scan the bite registration and morph the restoration into occlusion.

You may need to section the dies and then mark margins over height of contours and then splint the teeth together in the final design.

Rkm, that looks about like it.

Al, I asked him that and he was just curious if I could for time issues.

Get some sinfony or radica, simple to make from a wax-up/putty matrix.

LCM, sorry I missed your post earlier. I just need to build up the posterior occlusions with temp material until the patient is ready to have his posteriors prepped.

Geez, okay then...I have a implant bridge in the works right now that the doctor wants to try-in the framework while getting some type of tooth colored material to dial-in the smile line and labial inclination of the case so I'll use my scanner just for you....geesh, take all the fun out of it why don't you...lol

The fun part is opening up the delivery package and seeing a fully milled temp bridge that you designed the previous day that fits perfectly to the master model.
