So I'm importing a few Medit obj files into my 3 shape stl order but for some reason they are in grey scale and not colour.
Is there a setting I'm missing ? runnuing 2019

Hmm, are you importing them as STL 3shape format?

My raw stls from Medit are also grey, I can change the color when in the designer stage.

That's odd because I don't even have the colour icon on my screen.

I think you need the 3Sheep .obj color file license.

Oh you must be talking about the tissue and tooth colors. I'm not sure stls even carry those.

Obj files can be in colour, they allow such in imetric scanner anyway. How to receive that colour however, i am not entirely sure.

Used imetric colour scans when we tried to make exo autodefine splines we drew on models.

So bit different and my experience in this area isnt entirely uaeful.

Sevan just posted on FB that no obj or ply from medit comes in color as of now, 19.3.

You may try using your edit link portal to export the case as compatible with 3shape, but i'm not sure if that would snip the colour off by default or not

I'll have to use the preview from the Medit link to view the colour I suppose.

I design them in the default yellowish color after clicking the material shader, I personally dont usually design teeth in full tissue and tooth mode when available, only when marking margins.

I think that is what is happening. It really sucks.
It's the same feeling you have when you get off the plane in Mirabel Montreal after spending 2 weeks in Jamaica.
