I'm finally ready to give up my book collection and would like to sell as a group if possible. Will be glad to answer questions about any of these great books, and show books over my web camera on my computer.. Most of these books still have covers and in A1 condition, and no ink marks or torn pages.. For those of you that aren't familiar with some of these books, they all have miles of research, untold numbers of colored pictures, basic to advanced techniques by some of the best world renowned ceramists and doctors in the world. Most of these books still look almost new and I haven't tried to clean the hard backs for fear of harming the covers..
Make offer here on dln, or email to offer to [email protected]

1. YAMAMOTO: Metal Ceramics, Principles & Methods 523 unbelievable pages.. The Bible for ceramics, need I say more !.. No cover now, threw away last year, and no autograph lol This book still looks almost new.
Buyer must take a porcelain oath to take good care of this book, and swear you didn't voted for Obama ! :)

2. GERALD UBASSY: Shape & Color The Key to Successfuk Ceramic Restorations 216 pages.. I think some of Al's crowns are in this book lol
This is a must have book.

3. ERNST A. HEGENBARTH: Creative Ceramic Color A Practical System.. 109 pages of teeth, or crowns, not sure
The book opens by explaining color analysis of anterior teeth in their natural surrounding. Chief purpose of the book is an aid for the tech in selecting a tooth shade for ceramic restorations, and more.

4. MASAHIRIO KUWATA: Theory & Practice for Ceramo Metal Restorations 189 pages of techniques.. so much info in only 189 pages.. Another must have book... Disturbed !

Tears tears,,, tissue please :(

6. JOHN McLEAN Dental Ceramics : Proceeding of the First International Symposium on Ceramics
541 pages from the Symposium. Each speaker contributed a chapter speaker in his own speciality..very intersting read. Book looks almost as new as the day I received it from Quintessence Books

7. JOHN McLEAN: The Science and Art of Dental Ceramics Vol l 333 pages
8. JOHN McLEAN The Science and Art of Dental Ceramics Vol ll 512 pages
Vol l A study of the science of dental porcelain ... very technical book
Vol ll Dr. McLean wrote this book for the biginner and the specialist in the dental ceramic field. These 2 books as far as I know were the Bibles of ceramic. No other books were written at the level of these book.. Over 700 color photos .. These were at the level of Yamaoto book at that time .

9. JACK PRESTON: Perspectives in Dental Ceramics : Proceedings of the Fourth International Symposium on Ceramics 472 pages
In this book you will find the thoughts and techniques of an international gathering of experts on all the aspects of dental ceramics.. 472 pages
Contributers in this book include ... Robert Burger, Grant Day, S. Hobo, John Hubbard, Stefan Borenstein, Vanik Jinoian,Kris Kersten, David Korson, John McLean, Lloyd Miller Paul Muia, John Sorensen, Enrico Steger, Asami Tanaka, Peter Vryonis, F. Page, and many more
I love this book ..

10. PAUL MUIA: The Four Dimensional Tooth Color System...
Four dimensions assigned to certain areas of the tooth: hue to dentin-chroma , a further refinement of hue-maverick color 288 pages 420 color illustrations.

11. S. KATAOKA Y. Nishimura: Nature's Morphology An Atlas of Tooth Shape and Form...
Great learning tools for all techs of any level of experience.... This book is dedicated to the renowned master ceramist Makoto Yamamoto..
This is a must have and I may keep it..
Chap 1. Fundamentals of Tooth Morphology
Chap 2. Characteristics of Tooth Morphology
Chap 3. Effect of Aging
Chap 4. Contouring Ceramic Restorations 1...
Chap 5 " " " 2
Surface texture techniques and so much more,,,
Trust me, buy if Quintessence still publishes this book..

12. GERARD CHICHE ALAIN PINAULT Essentials of Dental Ceramics
Step by step porcelain powder techiques and more.

13. PATRICK NAYLOR Introduction to Metal Ceramic Technology

Whole collection .......... $800.
Yamamoto ...................$500.
I was hoping to get $1000. +for the collection which is much less than I paid for them.. we'll see..
Most of these books were well over $100. each when I bought them new..

Will start posting highest bid daily around lunch .. May wait 5 to 14 days to see how this plays out on dln.
You guys may want to buy as a group with your friends .. Post books you want and PM each other to buy as a group to lower the cost for you, and make me more money... Daddy wants toys that hum and mill.. lol

Great collection Charles-
we have about 10 of them between my father and myself
IMO $1000.00 would be a steal if you are looking to get some excellent reference material and teaching aids

I dont need them, but if you dont get $1500, I wouldnt sell. Which machine are you going to get???

I hope you sign a purchase agreement soon...I believe that this is the last year that you can take the write off all in one year. After Jan. 1, we're back to spreading the depreciation out over 5 years. With a big purchase like a mill, most small labs would be able to skip out on those quarterly estimated payments to the IRS. That would go a long way towards payments.

Well it might be going for spare parts soon :) its broken down now and sirona want 5k to replace a plastic boot on the gear arm. Unless they sort something out more sensible, like repairing it for nothing, then it wont be getting repaired.

Been a long 5 years paying for the Junk, but only 6 months to go, then i can start earning a living again. Just me and my trusty press furnace, which paid for its self within 6 months.

According to Sirona the 5th Axis is virtual. Mine actually has 6th and 7th virtual Axis as well.. err.... because i say so. Its the best milling machine on the market. :spit:
