If your snapping the snap at the hinge and its breaking there is a little flaw in the manufacturing. You need to trim out the opening a hair. I called Mainstay . They sent me a new box to compare. I sent them pictures of the defect. I hope this helps anyone who may be experiencing the same thing.

Agree, I had several boxes of the Quadrant pinned type six months ago that were breaking. Told Nowak on my last order to not send me Lot# of the bad ones. All good this order. The plastic does appear different.
