born too late to have a chance to own property, born too early to casually visit the galaxy in a socialist spacefaring utopia

47, been doing this gig for 30 years now...dam I'm getting old, no wonder I get grumpy easily but then again i live pretty close to Canada...that's probably it.
Must be the air up here. I get grumpy too. Listening to Rush and working on a RUSH case, lol.

What the hell is that emoji thing? I didn’t put that in there. Anyhow, I’m one of the older techs here I’d say.....56. Graduated USN lab school in 84. Wanted to be a denture tech but was told when I got out of the Navy to pick a specialty and get certified. So I chose ceramics that’s where the money was. Several years ago now finished off 4 more specialties. (Didn’t take ortho exam.) I don’t do enough of it to justify spending the time and money to tick it off. A master is a master. The last 15 years have been more removable than fixed but I enjoy it all-even the odd ortho case. Cheers!

Sounds like a bigger story there...retiring because you sold the lab? invested wisely during your early years? 56 is a little early to retire is why i'm asking, not knocking it at all...I'm hoping to be retired by then myself. Just curious what was your secret sauce is all.

Oh wait, maybe that’s elder abuse?
Just ignore that.
