Dr. called about making one for a patient. It sounds like it could be an expensive mistake.

I can't believe a dentist would agree to do that.

I think there are some videos on YouTube. If I were making one, I would create a refractory model that has been blocked out as in rpd technique, wax design direct and process that way. Will need to decide what to use for retention while wearing, soldered ball clasps, wax, denture adhesive perhaps? If it needed stones embedded, I would consult a jeweler for their help.

why is that? Assuming they don't exhibit any detrimental hygienic practices what risk is there to the doctor? It's a pretty easy workflow for the lab as well excluding stones.

At what point do we say no, it's out of my comfort zone? Or are we supposed to push that envelope?
I'd let someone else do that, but then again, I tend to be a bit conservative.

made one before. the trick is determining how retention will be made. otherwise its just a shell. a very very very expensive shell.

The only people who want a grill are behind on their child support, have chrome rims on their rusty car and have beer cans in their (rented) un-mowed yard.
