I'd look at the manual. Don't have one to know off hand.

When a motor increases in torque, the amperage required to feed it increases, until it hits a stallpoint or there is a safety shutdown to keepmfrom frying something with higher power than design. That's all the error is saying really.

@Jimmy Lindsey if you can't find yours here's the pdf from Roland''s site. Save a copy somewhere, and print one to write notes in. Just make sure you scan in your note copy every time you make a significant discovery about how your specific machine wants to be set up, treated, cleaned, housed, fed, watered... Just like pets, they all have different personalities and needs.

The manual instructs to retighten the collet every month or 200 spidle hours, whichever is first, since you've never cleaned it, have you been following the preventative maintenance schedules?

And as @user name has drillled into us, if the dust is sticking to your stuff, your air a'int dry 'nough. This may be the issue. The first burr is clean from you probably noticing and wipeing the collet ends clean of swarf, the second has dust sticking to it and the collet cannot close completely resulting in it being hard to turn the chuck and over-amperage alarm condutions are met.

Just a hunch.

Page 41 of the manual talks about collet tightening. There is no lube procedure, just clean and tighten. Be sure to follow the instructions very carefully, if you damage or destroy the collet it is not a cheap part to replace.

Hello @kazak31. My name is Jane Qi, customer service specialist for DGSHAPE/Roland Global.

When you want to loosen the collet, but the spindle rotates and you cannot loosen it, please follow the tips below.
- Wrap the masking tape two or three times to cover the two parts of the spindle indicated by the two arrows, the spindle will not turn even if you turn the collet to loosen it.
CAUTION: If you turn it in the tightening direction, you will overtighten it and you may break the collet, so be careful.
