We have an old Jelrus Temp Master M Two Stage burnout furnace.
Today, it got stuck at "soak time 2" and it just keeps beeping.
It displays "36:84" on the display and the "(degrees)F" led keeps blinking.
I don't have the manual for it and I tried to google it, but it won't come up.
Any ideas?

Probably open circuit.

Either the thermocouple, or the actual coils.

Do you own a multi-meter to test?

I don't have a multimeter here at the lab. I have one at home though.

Unscrew the leads to the thermocouple and ohm it....

That is first item to be suspect....

Then try same for elements..

Did you smack it yet? Try that first! LOL

I wanted to smack it....but the owner was watching. :D
I'll try to ohm it tomorrow when I have my multimeter.

Careful with the smacking... the heating coils are quite brittle, specially if they're old or heated up. I've busted the heating element once in an old Jelrus in a moment of rage ( cracked ring ).

dID YOU BUY IT SECOND HAND? It was probably preset on a specific casting temperate, try resetting it
