We don't do a lot of FCZ's but the ones we have completed have been Zirlux and finished with eMax stains & glaze. The results haven't been terrible but I think they could be much better. My research keeps leading me to choosing between GC luster paste and Zirlux stain & glaze. I am also planning to experiment with other zirconia materials and would like a dependable, all around stain & glaze kit.
Reviews and opinions appreciated. Thanks much!!!

Would you elaborate please?
Well for one it fires at 1000c.
The C and D shade pastes are not really representative to the Vita shade guide.
Its grainy when applied and its difficult to keep at a usable consistency.

That doesn't sound too good. Do you use GC luster paste?

Yes, but I also use emax stains and have been thinking about trying the stain kit from Jensen.

You can never have enough stains.
We have been using low fusing powder stains with GC and emax paste glazes with excellent results.

Check lines and pit stains are easy to produce with powders and the suspend well in the paste.

We just switched everything over from GC Luster Paste to the Jensen InSync stain and glaze. It is awesome to work with and our techs love it compared to the GC Luster Paste.

Everything has a learning curve, but I tried the GC kit once and set it aside. I like the InSync.

So true. Multiple firing temps allow layers of stain.
For most things, the InSync stain kit has it covered.
Wish I had the GC also (maybe I just think I could get the esthetics Al gets if I got the right one!)

It's beginning to look like InSync FC stain and glaze system is taking the lead. How high are the firing temps? Any other pro's & cons? Cost for kit?
Thanks guys!

Fire stain @ 760c, glaze @ 740c. Can't remember what I paid for it. Glaze currently $27 so x16 bottles= $450 more or less. Contact Jensen. Only con: do not mix it with other liquids or water.

Great, will Wieland/Ivoclar continue to sell it here in the US ? Zenoflex porcelain will soon be history in the US, if not already .. ?
