Magic wand effect strikes again.

The asst took impressions I'd bet and has no clue about how any of it happens.
Feel like they're so desperate now they'll chuck anything at the lab. I've seen some serious WTF since we reopened in June.
Epidemic of cluelessness.

Finished a FCZ crown that opposed this bridge.
Thank goodness for FCZ crowns and bridges, where the porc. won't fracture off of a poorly designed rebar pontic framework.

You really see the sad state of some c&b's when you receive an ios. Not just fractures but adjustments down to the opaque that don't show up on a stone model.

Not all handwriting is created equal. So glad I called before ordering the gold wire.

You can read most of it so they would only get a C in Chicken Scratch class. We have one that passed with flying colors. We have to call and have him decifer every script we get from him.

I had one of those doing PFMs a few years ago. We learned to tell that only the tooth number basically ever changed.

So here is one of the three dire cases from this past week. Monday the Inhouse lab tech from an adjacent state calls me and gives me the obligatory sob story. Basically the pt has 1-2 weeks to live and his wife wants to go out to dinner one last time... I say ok site, why not. This is what I get.

I get the case around 9am and call the office to ask about the rest of the components because there is no way in hell that I’m processing on the castings for the post and cores. Then someone else drives down the spare analogs for the silicone duplicate model. So at 11am I get the analogs. I pour the dupe and remount and then call them back to say that they will have to spell way with and “f” for this to work. That’s right there is no F in way this will work! They finally agreed to leave off the housings on 8+9. This is what I came up with. Someone came back at 730 that night to get the case. The doc ended up sectioning the ball attachments that were misplaced on #8+9. And all told it was a 30 minute appointment.

This is the lower opposing that I made last fall and it turns out the pt hadn’t even been wearing it! Luckily the lab tech there made the pt a splint to wear in the mean time!

Here is another “whoopsie” I had this week. I initial idea was to make a partial for the posterior teeth... this came in Thursday afternoon and at least I was given until Monday...

I should feel so lucky they gave me one and a half teeth to work with.

you have A3 selected, I do not understand the problem.

seriously, the doctor has no idea what he is doing. then who takes responsibility for this work?
I will give you a hint: the doctor will not understand what he did wrong, since he already sent you this impression.

The Dr was probably happy just to get readable margins, at the exclusion of everything else.
