I’m looking for a solution for a locator abutment for a astra ev 5.4.
Any ideas?

Price out a ucla + weld and polish and when doc balks at the price point him here https://www.preat.com/product-categ...mentsattachments/locator-self-aligning/astra/ and sweetly ask to be included in surgical planning in the future.

Someone here has done the weld routine and did it nicely. I'll try to remember who if no one else does first.
Yes it looks like the UCLA option is the only way to go. This 5.4 was placed in the site of a failed 4.5.

One option is too laser-weld a Locator top to an Asta EV healing abutment.
Danny Roberts at Hawkeye Dental Studio can do it. 563.920.2273

PartMaker in Australia can generate you a custom locator part for these, or even a few. The more you buy the better the price. Buy 5 for $500

PartMaker uses Swiss turning lathes to make highest precision parts for your needs. PartMaker = AfterMarket parts

No 510K on most of their parts.

When you call them or meet them at the show they will tell you they have FDA on all their parts.

They only have FDA approval on hiossen and zimmer custom titanium abutments.

What does that mean -

NO FDA on ALL of their ti bases,
NO FDA on ALL of their LOC products
NO FDA on ALL of their custom multiunits
NO FDA on ALMOST ALL of their custom titanium abutments.

I can email you their FDA approvals and will show you mine too. I have nothing to hide.

So much for having ethics and truthfully advertising..

As you can tell I like typing in CAP's... ha ha

Keith, you are referring to TruAbutment and not the Aussie PartMaker, right?
