Hello, everyone! Has anyone tried pressing emax multi with a whipmix propress sp? Or any non ivoclar oven? What are your parameters? Should I scratch this idea all together, guys? Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks.

DEKEMA can do it. I know a Ivoclar speaker that presents Dekema pressed restorations to other dental technicians, saying they were pressed with Ivoclar furnace :)

Thanks, I'll take that into consideration! I really don't see why the propress SP wouldn't press it, but I would hate to make a costly mistake.

_DSC0160.JPG I just pressed the multi, 4 crowns, with my pro press 200 for the first time. they turned out nice. these are my parameters:
Entry temp:1200 F
Rise rate: 108
Hi Temp: 1709
Hold time: 25 min
Press time: 3 min

my press time might be too long, next time might reduce it to 2:30. The reaction layer was a little too much, but not bad.

Thanks! I'm giving it a shot today. I'll try to post pictures later.

A couple things I want to add that I did also was the burnout temp is 1562 for 1 hour 30 min and I used a disposable plunger instead of the alox.

I've pressed multi in my good old EP600
Burnout 890c 45min
temp rise at 60c/min
hold temp 925c for 28 min
stop speed 150/min
The stop speed will need further experimentation as I stopped the cycle manually about 3min after plunger stopped moving
very happy with the results.
Cheers!

Hello Keter, i am new in the press world but i have the ep600 as you. could please explain me how to create the program to press MULTI.
How long is the program?
should i have to hold the temp in 925c during 28 minutes before press???
what is the stop speed?

I would rely like to see you results. thank you very much
