Emax issues

Hi All

Does anyone have issues with horizontal lines in their emax pressing? If so, do you know what causes it or how to stop it?

Does anyone have issues with horizontal lines in their emax pressing? If so, do you know what causes it or how to stop it?

Depending on your spring, you may see (for lack of better term) 'miss aligned crystals'. It is mostly visible where the sprue attaches to the wax pattern and looks like a low value spot.


Although that is very local and doesn't spread horizontally.

This white line across the veneer. It happens quite often and I’m stumped as to what is causing it

do you use anti reaction layer spray i see it sometimes if my guys put it on too thick.

It looks like you're sprucing them, at least the one with the line, facing the wrong way. They should be facing out. It looks like yours is sprued at a 90 degree angle "accross" the sprue base? Maybe also try the spruing angle showed in the images.

above picture came so i figured they changed tube
to my dismay - layered emax did not glaze

is old glaze paste still available?

Just get some of Jensens InSync fluorescent glaze paste and a bottle of their glaze liquid. You will like it.

You got the glaze paste that is used when crystalizing and glazing at the same time. If you press, this is one is no good...

Ask for Ivocolor Glaze Powder/Paste FLUO. I prefer powder over paste since it glazes cleaner than paste, which leaves a whitish sheen when applied in excess.

Yeah, you have to be specific...Flouro-glaze paste is what you want
