Hey all! What ingot are you guys pressing monolithic d2 molars out of? Lt isn't translucent enough and I feel like an ht d2 ingot would grey out to much.

I know they quit making the value one ingot... which ingot took its place? An Mt ingot?

It really depends on how thick is your crown going to be. HT or MT B1 would be safe bets.

Here is the break down for the press ingots:

Value #1 is now MT B1
Value #2 is now MT BL4
Value #3 is now MT BL3

So what is an MTA2?

To follow up with 2th, MTA2 is just a new addition to the emax line up to be in the same family of translucency range (medium translucency) as the previously called Value ingots. Here is a total break down:

New to the line up which were added:

MT A1
MT A2
MT A3
MT BL2

What was replaced:

Value #1 is now MT B1
Value #2 is now MT BL4
Value #3 is now MT BL3

edit: I thought Patrick included some good info. here: http://dentallabnetwork.com/forums/threads/emax-ingot-choice-poll.19244/page-3#post-196318

Ok, I assumed they just changed the names of the value ingots, not added new ones.

Try the multi ingot D2. I use the multi for almost all my crowns, they are LT at the gingival, MT in the middle and HT on the cusps. For bi's and molars they are glaze and go.
