the DWX-4W is not reliable enough in my opinion. Wait for the Programill one and just be done with it.
Progomill delayed again.... sigh...... and may never launch. Mikro IC from AG has good results but you will be paying a lot for blocks.

With all due respect, non of the two crowns shown seem to fit on the respective dies.
Absolutely correct. This was due to the acutal design of the prep. In this benchmark case, like many we do, we are only supplied an STL file for the complete design of the restoration with no other information, save on occasion, the margin- many times no die. As you can imagine, this presents us with a challange in as much as it is impossible to produce the best possible fitting crown.

The old saying: Quality (or garbage) in = Quality (or garbage) out is most definately true.
For this reason, we spend time in our training classes addressing the importance of prep design, and minimum radius identification/reprucussions.

In this benhmark the customer knew this, was (and continues to be) quite happy with the results from our solution.

Agreed 1000%

The ivoclar mill has been the most frustrating non-customer centric experience we have had yet. Pretty much designed to cost you money endlessly. It was enough to make me finally drop eMax as a primary product entirely.

By contrast the 5x400 from Axsys has been badass from day 1 and has produced more successful units in a few weeks than the zenotec did in a year...

Cannot overstate the value of having real experts like Axsys (vs sales reps and phone support folk who may or may not know what a mill is at ivoclar)

Guess who is getting my business going forward? Our next Versamill from Axsys is getting ordered this week!

another korean mill option would be the DOF sharp2 mill. Pretty sweet little compact mill, running hyperdent, which is a real advantage, especially if you add another machine.

This is like comparing a Kia to an Audi.. both will get you there, but there is a difference.

PM 7 is totally different if compare with PM 3
But the PM1 is the fastest one in the line up being geared towards chairside milling and 5 block holder. But 55k.

who hasn't used a DWX4W before? oh you mean the one we bought and literally have sitting in the corner gathering dust next to an MCXL?

Mill quality was not very good, and quite frankly is an embarrassment to the roland line. Ive never met one user that was truly happy with the 4W. Sure the PM1 may be new, but from what we've seen and heard so far (maybe also including closed door demos) it's superior to anything else i've seen.

How are the mill times for the Programill One compared to the 2 spindle strategy for eMax?
