Ankylos is a love hate implant, incredible bone retention and precision of fit. When used for posterior molars, abutments have a tendency to fracture leaving the "stem" snapped off inside the implant which near impossible to remove. Many specialists have experienced this and most prefer to remove the implant and start over. So moral of story, keep it original (especially posterior) because if (when) it fails you want to be able to point it back to the original manufacture. If you use 3rd party then you carry the burden of the failure in the eyes of the restorative team. The 3rd party may replace it but you will always be that lab that caused it. Please no 3rd party haters, 3rd party can be helpful but when a known issue of failure you want to keep it original.
